*Designated a NATIONAL SCENIC BYWAY on September 2, 2005

Stevens Pass Greenway was designated a NATIONAL FOREST SCENIC BYWAY on April 14, 1992. The Greenway applied and was granted a higher highway designation as part of the America’s Byways system. The National Scenic Byway begins on State Highway 2, just east of Monroe and ends in the orchards of Peshastian near the Junction of SR 2 and SR 97.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Stevens Pass Greenway organization facilitates education regarding scenic, recreational, natural resources, history, culture and their interpretation and promotes responsible use and preservation of the special value of this corridor.

Enjoy two National Forests

Stevens Pass Greenway runs through two National Forests in the North Cascades Mountain Range: the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Enjoy rivers, lakes, hiking, mountain-climbing, scenic outlooks, campgrounds and winter recreation.

The Scenic Byway forms the southern section of the Cascade Loop. This scenic loop drive takes you from ocean beaches to Centeral Washington orchards to the Columbia River valleys to one of the highest Cascade Mountain passes.
